Winter Fasting and Body Works

I intend to fast during winter time, but not for long durations. Initially will try a few days at a time. Just drink water. During this time I need to consume easily digestable foods, stay away from sugar entirely which includes fruits. Meditate and simply relax.

I absolutely must make time for the Body Works. This is the most important part of the process. I have been going through a whole lot of changes these past few years which involved transforming diet but the Body Works allows the body to take care of itself without the aid of consuming food.

  2. You have a very impressive blog (and an impressive mind).

I notice that you chew salvia leaves. Perhaps you might consider buying or preparing some 10x or 20x (extract).

With extract you might go to new places you previously never knew existed.

Here's one of my salvia blogs:

    1. I have smoked extracts a few times, but never have gone too deep. In fact it's how I started my journey with Salvia and later decided chewing it was more appropriate.

I might try the 10x extract again.

  3. I've been toying with the idea of 'dieting' with Salvia for a little while now. Basically fasting, or a very restrictive diet, combined with ingesting Salvia tea and quids daily. Also some plain leaf smoked in the evenings. I wanted to attempt this for at least fourteen days.

Shamans do this type of dieting to cultivate a deeper relationship with the plant and learn to interpret its teachings.

Reading through your blog I see that you regularly fast and was curious if you've ever tried an approach like this, or might consider it in the future.

  4. I have been fasting in the past for some Salvia trips, these were quite intense and it was at a very emotional time.

Right now the idea for fasting came directly from one Salvia excursion as beings in the digestive organs have been suggesting it. Came as the usual 'knowing' for me. I will try the Salvia tea. Do you mean you will fast and ingest Salvia during your fast or at the end of the fast.

My process is usually fast for several days maybe an enema and then at the last day of the fast ingest Salvia. I don't know how many days I will do the fast for, I never seem to have this part planned out.

  5. Dieting a plant involves fasting (drinking only water) or for longer periods, following a restrictive diet (bland foods with no sugar, salt, spices) It also entails maintaining sexual abstinence as well. A tea is made with cold water and let to sit overnight and then drank in the morning. You can even bathe in the tea if desired (I probably will not) but you should avoid any soaps or deodorants at the very least. Then a quid or smoking can occur throughout the day. I wanted to continue this for at least fourteen days straight to see where this will take me.

I use plain leaf in my daily meditations and I feel I've cultivated a deep relationship with the plant, but I wish to take it even further. I think this shamanic approach to 'dieting' with the plant could help me do that.

I've fasted in the same way you have for other psychedelics like psilocybin mushrooms and ayahuasca. I don't normally work with Salvia orally, so I suppose I don't feel as much of a need to have a cleansed system. Smoking seems to fit easier into my lifestyle and, admittedly, that may just be laziness on my part.
