I have been searching for some meditation techniques and found the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, 5000 year old ancient Indian text on meditation. This book discusses 112 meditation techniques which can be used for realizing our true self.
Had a quick read through the first few meditation techniques, I seem to be drawn to technique number 5, mostly because it's easy for me to focus my attention between my eyebrows.
I was reading technique 5 in the link you gave and it seems VERY dangerous. I was just about to try it until I read the last part. How did you learn to use your third eye without impure thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI haven't been learning to use my third eye (at least not consciously), just becoming more aware of it.
ReplyDeleteI guess thats why I haven't really killed anybody yet - just kidding.
I only believe in that last part to the extent that your thoughts will begin to manifest whether they are pure or impure but will only effect your own personal experience.
My thoughts are mostly pure and positive now after reading heaps of Abraham-Hicks material and applying the teachings as well as meditating as often as I can.
If it still concerns you then it would be wise to change any negative beliefs, thoughts or ideas that you hold. Raise your vibration simply by choosing thoughts that feel good and get happy and only then practice the third eye meditation.
